I live in Rizal and to be honest I have not explored much around the area.
Since I am a sucker for zip-lines, the advertising of this resort made me explore Tanay.
Tanay is just around 57km East of Manila and can be reached by bus, jeepney, car and public vans/fx. I travel this route for years. The quickest by private car would be an hour without traffic and can go like 2 hours via public transportation with traffic.
I explored Pranjetto Hills alone and took a jeepney from Tanay terminal going to Sampaloc. Another route is the Antipolo-Cogeo route from Metro Manila. You'll see a lot of top loads here.
Sampaloc Road is going up the mountains where you'll have a view of Laguna De Bay
The roads are nice and it is a favorite area of cyclists and bikers.
From Sampaloc town, another jeepney ride bound to Cogeo but it's just a short ride as you won't really reach Cogeo. It is located at the foothill of Sierra Madre Mountains.
These were the signs which were all placed around Rizal that brought me here.
The place is more of like an adventure camp where it is a good location for team building, conferences, banquets or just simply getting away from the hustle and bustle of the Metro without really traveling too far.
They have Paint Balls (PhP250/head with 25 balls) Wall Climbing/Rapelling (PhP100/each)
and Hydro (PhP200/each) and Land (PhP100/each) Zorbs
Long line (PhP300/each) which is not too long...around 300m I think
Short line (PhP200/each) around 150m
ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) Rides for PhP300/30minutes
An olympic size pool which was safe to swim in because we always see the presence of the life guard and the deepest part is not too deep. Night swimming is not allowed here. You can swim until 5PM.
(PhP200/each if less than 10 heads; PhP150/each if more than 10 heads)
The surroundings are just nice to look at. It can be a venue for weddings or debut parties.
You'd think you are in a different country with all the trees here
This sign is a big help in maintaining serenity in the place
The place is surrounded with not only greens but different kinds of flowers. I was able to practice my macro photography here
A lot of bikes pass by this area though I wasn't too happy to see this one.
No helmets, overloading and kids!!! tsk tsk tsk Irresponsible driver!
These two boys kept me company the first time I went there. They were selling rice cakes and stayed with me while I walk around the place. I bought them chips and drinks and they were really thankful.
Months after my first visit, I brought my brother and his family
and we just kept going back.
My first attempt in PANORAMIC shots.
I did not have a tripod then and it was a bit of a challenge.
I had to stitch these photos together
This is the view outside Pranjetto Hills.
It is a nice place to contemplate or feel that sense of peace. When taking the public transpo, it might take you time to get back to Sampaloc town because you have to wait for a jeepney. The roads here are not busy. It took me 30 minutes to get on a jeepney. This is a place you'll love to drive at. Fresh air and beautiful mountain views.
